Britney Spears spends 4th July on a YACHT!

Former Popstar Britney Spears spent few quiet hours on the 4th of July on a private yacht called "The Creek". Britney with her two security guards met her friend/manager, Jason Trewick at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey and went cruising on the beautiful harbour..

The former popstar who was going through depression seemed to have a great time on the American Independence Day. She looked fresh and pretty in her white sundress & sunglass.

When it comes to having multi million dollar toy for your personal collection, a Yacht is one of the top most priorities. If you got the green (money) then its a must have. Now days yachts determine the wealth of an individual. The bigger you got the wealthier you are.

It has a mini bar and a projector with a stage which makes the party a whole lot better.


The yacht's sweet is one of its kind. It has a King size bed decorated with monogrammed pillows. It has a small unique folding balcony which pops out to a small private terrace. Everything on the Maraya is elegant. From the creamy leather sofa to the mantelpieces and books about Africa displayed on table. The yacht has a 10 member staff who are at service 24/7.

Need of the Hour - Herculean 'Party Yachts' !

With the popularity of yachts and their various uses picking up...and with one of the best winters Mumbai and India has been blessed in years; there has been an increase in the demand for big yachts and 'party-boats' for parties at seas.


Apart from being a unique way of celebrating, a yacht (or boat) party gives a different experience to its party-goers.

CURRENT OFFERINGS

Currently, a lot of companies cater to clients who want to celebrate their anniversaries or have a special wedding reception onboard boats. Corporates are never far from yachts and they too are regular party-goers on these boats. Events and corporate meetings also find their way into these boats. Once in a while, organisers get requests from only couples for a cruise off the harbor also.

In Mumbai, a number of boats with different facilities are there for taking. Ferries, that do duty to the public moonlight as 'party-boats' at night and acoomodate a small number of 50-60 odd people. For larger capacities organisers offer a special party boat to take on 100-150 people. A different offering is a dhow - an arabian fishing boat, which can take at the maximum 25 people - without the fishy smell though.


These parties are flat-out fun with themes like arabic, italian and more. Foreign artiste that charge as much as Rs. 20,000 entertain the likes or people on the lower deck with DJ music and bar facilities. Upper-decks take care of the food and sight-seeing departments. Cuisines such a Italian, French, Mughlai are offered and special licenses from the port authority takes care of the consumption of liquor.

BUT...

...where to go incase of larger parties?

Most of the boats mentioned above are just that- boats ! These have limitations like the total number of people, restrictions with the music, polluting the sea with garbage, a bumpy ride, licenses and permissions required and more....

Even the largest yacht in Mumbai's Harbor, the Indian Empress - with its state of the art technology and interiors, can not hold a party for 100 people.


Mumbai has even lost its pride of being the berth to the Superstar Libra, which has shifted to Goa due to many local and political reasons. This could take care of extra-large celebrations.

And to rent a ship would not be economically feasible.

There have been regular calls to organizers in Mumbai for chartering yachts for partying and celebrations with different requests and settings.

Hence, a special purpose yacht - with the best offerings in the party-business, are a NEED OF THE HOUR for Mumbai and India. As we are well aware that people other than sailing enthusiasts are getting interested in yachts and boating, the demand for such a yacht would only go upwards.

These yachts would need to be equipped with a good design, 'flexible' decks, best music and HVAC systems, the latest bar equipment, good bilge and garbage disposal facilities. Smaller motorboats that would taxi party-goers to and fro the shore would be an added advantage.


To our knowledge, such 'party'-yachts to cater to personal and corporates are not far away from coming to India and companies such as Hallaway and Princess have the right offerings to fill this gap.

IncredibleIndia Week To Conclude With A Yacht Party - Mumbai

The Indian tourism industry is the latest who seems to have been bitten by the yacht bug.the Indian tourism industry which holds an IncredibleIndia week which is held for promoting tourism in India in this case Mumbai, this time they have chosen the Indian seas as an apt location to conclude the week long IncredibleIndia activity with a concluding yacht party on the Gateway of India - Mumbai.

The party will be held on the 1st Feb. 2008. India tourism - Mumbai in partnership with TAAI-Western Region & "Associations from different segments of the tourism industry like TAAI, IATO, Hotels Association of India (HAI) and others will be hosting the yacht party at Gateway of India – Mumbai.

20 yachts will be rented out for this occasion by the above associations. Although there is no confirmation on who will be attending the party, but one can assume celebrities, industrialists & senior Govt officials present at the event.

I think it’s a very big step for the yachting and sailing industry in India as I personally feel that the tourism industry is also starting to recognize the Indian waters as a great tourist destination for Indians as well as foreigners. It’s good to see the yacht culture in India getting its due recognition by Govt authorities and we do hope to see many more such events in the future.
